Was it ever revealed if this was for a 4.7L V8 or not? I'd be very interested in the upgrades for the 4.7L. Superdak, where did you get your cam kit and what kind of power/torque are you getting?

Thanks all think all motor wins. After xmas I am (maybe) going to drop the truck off at the shop and have it done up. They will port and polish, cams, and sure a bunch of other stuff. The place is good and if they can do up vipers I'm sure my Dak will be an easy job....

I just found out recently that there are ported aftermarket 'ready to bolt on' heads for our 4.7s. That, along with cams, beefing up the bottom end, redoing the intake, injection etc, I don't think it would be out of the question to see 400+HP out of one of these engines, naturally aspirated.

Of course it all comes down to how much money you want to spend. You can get a bolt on huffer kit for around $4K and have another $1000 or so in installation and tuning to get 400HP (give or take) or spendclose tothat amount (the ported heads I saw were like $1800 I think) to pay someone to rip the engine down, rebuild the bottom end so it will live with that kind of power, bolt on good aftermarket parts or modify existing ones, and come up with close to the same power.

It's all about the bennies, man.
