I think the rough country kit they are talking about is actually one of the Ram. I got a kit from them with 1.5' blocks and U bolts but they sent me the wrong U bolts. Since I was in a hurry I just got some made rather than messing with sending them back and getting replacements. I have the 9.25' rear end and all of the autozone U bolts were too narrow so I'm guessing you probably have one as well. Might check to see if anyone has a U bolt kit for a Ram with the 9.25' rear end that might work.

I had the same problem with my u-bolts and ended up bending them out a little to fit. If you go this route make sure to go back after a little bitand tighten them up more

Default RE: Lift block question

I have an update on this that I found on another forum for anyone who might be interested.

Apparently, from what this person said, there are two rears that were installed in the 05-07 Dakotas. In 2005 trucks built earlier in the model yearhad an 8.25, and later versions had a 9.25. Now though they said that all 4x4 trucks come with the 9.25 and 2x4s come with the 8.25 rear. That would make sense how some of you guys said you bought the Autozone kit and it bolted up no problem on your 2x4 trucks. That's not the case on the 4x4s though.

The question still remains, does anyone know where I can buy a 1" kit that will fit the larger diameter axle tubes on my 9.25" rear?

And, from what I understand, just buying a kit for a Ram with a 9.25 rear won't work as it has a different u-bolt configuaration that the Dakota. [>:]

There has to be a place that sells a variety of U-bolts. there are alot of websites that sell block and u-bolt kits, there has to be a solution, the damn things are a dime a dozen.
