Default RE: Pictures of '08 Factory flares on an '06

Dj, I'm just curious. Is the finish on the TRX flares similar or more textured than say, the mirrors and door handles on our Daks? I'd REALLY like to color match them black if I get them but don't want shiny, textured flares. I got the rear mud guards and had them painted and they turned out smooth as glass. They were somewhat textured, but not like what it appears the flares are.

Thanks

Sorry it took so long to answer but I had to go feel up my truck! [sm=grin.gif] The mirror housings are smoother than the door handles and the flares are just a little rougher than the door handles. To get too technical, I's say that the amplitude of the texture is about the same between the door handles and the flares but the peaks are rounded a bit more on the handles. The closest thing I could find for a match to the flares is the center section of the cup holder. Any of them could be finished smooth; it's just more work for some...,

I have the Husky brand molded mud flaps and I'd say
the texture is very close if not a little rougher than the flares.

It's a4-pieceset and doesn't come with the extension pieces for the frontbumper so I don't know how much work that would be to modify and fit up
I went to the website last nite and sent them a message about not getting the bumper pcs that are shown in their picture. I got a message on my answering machine today that the are ordering another set and will try to match up the missing pieces and send them out.

Thanks dude. Maybe I'll have to get to a dealership before I try to order them to 'feel up' the flares on a TRX.

hehe...we need some pics though
Well the rain finally stopped, we set a record of 11 straight days without sun!

This is what the truck should have lookd like from the factory, not have to wait for two years to get flares!

The front piece mounted up ok by holding it in place while fastening it. The guy put my mud flaps back on which I was not expecting. I may or may not leave them on. If I do I think I may need to put a little black silicon between them and the flairs to keep them from streaking,

BIG NOTE: Even though the pics show the small pc on the bumper in online Dodge Parts websites
they will not be included and even the Dealer could not get an answer or help from Chrysler Corp.
