How can you tell if you have the H.O. motor or not?

Default How can you tell if you have the H.O. motor or not?
If there an easy way to tell if you have the high output motor?
Do all of our dakotas have a tow/haul instead of overdrive on/off?

the intake box with say 4.7 H.O. or high output. not magnum... atleast thats how I have always noticed.

Id say, if you can't tell... sell the truck...

But that's just me...

On the tailgate it should say "V8 HIGH OUTPUT" instead of "V8 MAGNUM"

The HO is stamped on the front of theheads if the truck had been debadged you can tell by that means.

Also the emmisions label on the lower passenger side of the raised hood states H.O. (on mine). So if if doesn't state H.O. there, it's not. I have not found a marking on the head cylinder yet (haven't really looked too hard though).

Thought I never saw the hood sticker on a non HO mine being an HO has the sticker that said HO.
