Last night, I successfully re-soldered the battery bracket to the circuit board, and the key is now working fine. Net cost-zero! Thanks for the help.

Ronnie, I am from the other side of the state-Monroe. I will be heading there tomorrow for my Mom's 90th Birthday. Thanks.
