Default back at the dealership.....

I just droped the truck off at the same dealer that replaced my fog lights last time. I told the girl about the drivers side fog light cracking again and the motor noise. I told her this is the 4th dealership ive taken it to about the noise and she said she is not releasing it untill they fix something or I ride with everyone at the dealership. hopefully something gets done this time......

My foglight lenses are both cracked, and have been for a long time, but I never thought of trying to get them covered under the "bumper to bumper" warranty. I just figured my dealer would feed me some bs about they're not covered and how a rock probably cracked them, blah blah blah.

I'm just curious, did they give you any hassle at all about covering yours?

I got one replaced under warranty. Look at the light carefully, if you see a ding in it and a crack coming out of that it probably was from a rock and they won't cover it. If there is no evidence of something smacking it they should cover it, my dealer looked at the light and decided there was no way the cracking was from a rock so they replaced it.

That was my guess too, I told that to my dealer and he agreed that's probably what it is. I've had my eye on some for awhile now, just too cheap to do it yet. Drop me a line on aim if you want the link, I want to keep it somewhat secret till I get them lol.

Sounds logical to me that it could be from heat. Mine are ALWAYS on, every time the headlights are on, ever since I owned the truck. Funny thing is, I had 2 GenII Dakotas with foglights and neither of them cracked...
