Jet chip plunge
Ok I finally was able to do some Gtech comps. The winds were not perfect but acceptable (8-10 mph x-wind) and I made 4 passes again for qtr trap speeds 2 in each direction on the same road as I had used before.
I get a little more wheel spin now but not much(minimal effect). Trap speeds were 83.2, 83.6, 84.4 and 85.8for an average of 84.25. Hp caculator said average rwhp of 240.4.
This compares to my previous avg trap speed of 82.5 and rwhp of 225. So does it work, I would say yes. Is it huge neck snapping, no but the combined efforts of my mods has gained back most of my auto sucking trans hp loss. I have also seen about a 1 mpg increase in combined driving over about 800 miles, again not huge but better. I think if you have a less burdened extended cab 2wd man trans you would see some huge gains over stock, just having a manual trans makes a reg 4.7 about equal to a 4.7HOauto in rwhp.
These gains are in addition to what I listed earlier in this thread.
My bottom line take....it would take a while to pay for it in gas savings but the better milage lessons the cost pain. Drivability has improved and big gains are seen after the torque managment lets it free, IE highway and passing. 0-60 under full throttle, the TM still keeps it under control.
Hope this helps

Just answered a PM and thought I would also add this as an update.
I think its been good so far, I am averaging at least 1 mpg better, which equals 1 free gallon of gas per tank. You could look at it different ways.
1. At 1 gallon per tank I save 3.15 per tank so it would take approx 70 tanks to pay for itself or about 22,000 miles. then its free
2. The increasesd mpgbeats out the additional cost of premium over reg unleaded and thus it cost no extra to run it. I get an additional 20 miles per tank for 2.85
3. The extra milage is a bonus as I like the improved throttle responce and power.
4. These mpg gains are all winter driving, improving the worst season mpg (all based on 3.00 reg vs 3.15 premium in MN/19 gal per fill and 15.5 vs 16.5 mpg combined driving)
