Default Remote Starting System

Anyone here install an aftermarket Remote Starting System on thier 05 Dakotas?
If so, would you please list brands, prices, Pros/Cons?
I did a search that didn't come back with any posts on the subject.
Thanks in advance.

I have a Python 870xp, works great, two way, $400 installed. Cuircit city.
Most all brands aare made by Directed Electronics, so relly they are all of the same technologies.
I have seen many, its all about your personal prefrences when it comes to cosmetics.
the electronics are the same inside.

I went with the Avital system installed for $200.00.
Works great so far, which has been about two years.
The only thing that I do not like is the single lock/unlock button, because you need to "cycle thru" to get the doors either locked or unlocked.
Other than that, it's great.

Before the crash I had a Viper 5900SST on mine, had it professionally installed, worked excellently and the range was great. I think HookedonTronics sells the alarm for 200 or so.

i bought a mopar advanced system for my truck. i paid 350 for my kit but i get a discount because my dad retired from dodge, so i still get a discount on parts and new vehicles. i like the advanced system cuz it tells you when the truck starts, is running and when it shuts off if you dont get to your truck in time.

Viper I had did the same thing, the biggest disadvantage I saw with going mopar was you could either get the security or the remote start but not both.

Thats the only option I wish I had, the advanced system, becausesometimes I wish I could tell whether the truck got the signal to start.
