Brakes Pulsating on 2003
by the way don't let anybody try to tell you its a ABS problem. ABS does nothing until a hub is going slower than the other ones. that means you have to stomp on the brake and start to lock up a tire before ABS comes into play. ABS only moniters wheel speed. and compares it to the other wheels.
I had this problem with my Ram, machining these didn't do a bit of good. Just went with aftermarket rotors for HD use and Lifetime warranty!Haven't had a bit of trouble since. Big Blue stops on a dime!
I HAVE A O3 RAM QC 2500 MILES WARPED ROTORS BUT CHRYSLER HAS A FIX THEY ISSED A SERVICE BULLITEN 1/05/04 MINES IN THE SHOP NOW THEY ARE REPLACING CALIPERS PADS ROTORS HOPE THIS WORKS
did you guys relize that you all have 4X4's i think it might be becouse they are probably turning the rotors off the car i know on the jeeps you have to turn them on the car becouse wehn you mount them back up its never just right again(dunno why just the word on the street. I know some dealer might not have the tools to do this and cannot be for sure this is the prob but hey worth tossing into the fire.</P>
yes I relize that the rotors are machined off the truck. that makes no difference. they are mounted on a lathe by the bearing races. that is exactly where they mount on the spindles. mine were also changed to new. they did not last any longer than machined rotors.they are simply poorly made rotors. machining on the vehicle only saves time for the machanic.
HAVE YOU EVER HAD ANY PULSATING WHEN YOU RELEASE THE BRAKE BEFORE YOU PUT YOUR FOOT ON THE GAS, OR PULSATING WHEN YOU ARE IN REVERSE, ALSO BEFORE GAS IS ENGAGED? NO ONE CAN SEEM FIX THIS PROBLEM. ANY SUGGESTIONS
