Default Brakes Pulsating on 2003

I just bought a 2003 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab, 4X4 with 14000 miles already on it.

The brakes seem to be pulsating and squeaking pretty bad if I slightly apply them at speeds above 50 mph. Could this be warped rotors? They don't feel hot after driving for periods of time.

Any suggestions?

Thanks. I made them sign a We Owe You form and I listed the brakes on there. I am heading back to the dealership Friday to see about getting it fixed.

Well the pulsating is normal if its wet or on gravel because of the ABS but if thats not the case then yes it is a warped rotor.

Pulsation is the norm with Dakotas the rotors are poorly made and need replacing. Turning them will do nothing. Mine went bad after 25,000 (hwy km) and a lot of others had or have the same problem.

I had to replace my rotors on my 03 ram1500 4x4 just yesterday 18,000 miles started at 5,000 pulsating brake pedal. Took it to the dealer all they would do is machine them. They were 30.00$ a piece which i didn't think was to bad. Just as easy to replace them as to hassle with the dealership.

I have a 02 4x4 quad cab. 64,000 miles. rotors warped at 5,000 dealer machined rotors. warped again at 8,000. dealer machined. warped again at 12,000 when I took it to the dealer it was over 12,000 they told me I had to buy new rotors. I told them , no you have to waranty my rotors this is a on going problem. I argued with the service manager until they finally called diamler chrysler. they replaced my rotors and calipers as a one time deal. they warped again shortly after. I have been living with this since the truck was new. don't bother getting your rotors turned on these trucks. they are garbage. replace from the first sign of pulsating with after market rotors. I have heard this type of story time and time again. why won't daimler chrysler fix this problem you ask? = $$$$$$
