I just ordered both fronts and rears from Auto Barn. I found a valid promotional code by searching on line (SPRING08 is worth $10 off). Free shipping and the total for all 4 was $241.80. I'll do my own fronts but i'll be using 2 pairs of spring compressors. As mentioned in another thread, the front spring rateis close to 500lb/in!
Do you have the part numbers for all four shocks(and struts)?
My parts guy insists that the 71100 is for the 2005 only and says he checked with the dealer to confirm.
According to him the 2006 version will be out in July.
Thanks for your time.

05-07 are the same, infact my parts guy corss referenced my 05 Lamarie to an 07 TRX and it is the same PN#. I replaced mine last year and installed a Trailmaster leveling kit.
I am now waiting on feedback on the Monroe's with the leveling kit!
Welcome to the board, there are a bunch of great people on here!

You know,
Thats what I thought but I have never seen one except in brochures. We took the VIN off a brand new 07 TRX4 V8 on his lot when we did it, and the struts were black. Have you seen one with red struts?
Edit (Da, I just read your sig,I assumeyours red?)
Interesting, might have to do it again,

My front struts arrived from AutoBarn $159 delivered (took about 8 days from the factory). Not having the coil spring compressorsended up costing me an additional $180 for the dealerinstall. This whole ordeal reminded me just how much I hate taking anything tothe dealer for service. One dealer quoted 3 hrs labor at $330, obviously I didn't go there. The dealer I selected called to tell my that the sway-bar link broke "it was frozen due to rust",which means they put liquid wrench on it for about 10 min, then beat the hell out of it with a hammer until it broke[:@] Thiscost me another $120 for two links (parts only). Way more than I expected to spend, but I now have a1 bounce vs. 3 bounce Dak. Although Monroe only listed strutsfor an 05, as noted by ericemery& LB, they did fit my 06.
Thanks guys!

Sway bar links on dakota's and caravans are garbage and break for me all the time when I'm trying to remove them, the nuts rust on and are honestly garbage at that point. Most of the time it takes heating them up then blasting them withmy impact before they come remotely loose.....another **** design by dodge imo.
