RE: IMPORTANT!! Monroe front struts now available for 2005 Dak.
I had been reading that some owners of the 08s feel the front is stiffer and some say too stiff. I drove a 08 TRX-4 couple of week’s ago when I was at a dealer for a part and honestly it road just like my 07 TRX-4. They say the shock part number is different for the 08. Well yes it may be since it is for a different model year and it’s OEM. The shock may be the same but with an updated demark for the model. They say the spring rate is 20% stiffer. Maybe but I could not tell the difference. Look at the factory service manuals and the front ends are identical as far as the illustrations and the nomenclatures. If there is a difference it may be with the non TRX-4 suspension. I would wait until more 08 input is found before I would look into trying OEM 08 front shocks. I was never a Monroe fan but at least it’s a change that’s got to better than stock.

What do you mean do they come with shocks?? TheseARE your front shocks. Not sure if they will fit '06. Monroe's website shows the #71100 struts up to '05. Contact to check on your application e-mail:GSoutherland@Tenneco.com As far as self install is concerned, unless you have installed struts before I would recommend you havea reliable mechanic do it. It is NOT a simple swap out.

So these will fit my 06 2WD 3.7L? How hard are these to install by yourself? Do these come with shocks?

RE: IMPORTANT!! Monroe front struts now available for 2005 Dak.
does anyone read the service manual?
I am looking at it like this... if you take it to a shop, they will do the dirty work for you, and a reputable shop will align it too... (atleast mine will)
I am waiting on the parts and hopefully by saturday, I will not have a bouncey front end.
