tow hooks problem

cutting the head off the bolt, will it then come out in reverse from under the hood????

I used wd40 and it worked, soaked it let it sit for 2 minuted then soaked it again. then was able to get under and remove the bolts. Was really worried I had another "easy" project that I would not be able to do.

it took alot of man power but they eventually slid out.. they do slide out

You actually don't need to take those bolts out to get the tow hooks off. When I was putting my bull bar on I had the same problem and you can actually just beat them off with a hammer. The rubber gives enough that you can get them off that way, adding a little heat probly wouldn't hurt but in my case I needed to let out some frustrations anyway! lol and as for those bolts, those are the stupidest thing in the world....ended up re-fabing the brackets so that I didn't ahve to take the bolt out....

but the original issue here was not removing tow hooks, but installing the where they had never been from the factory. Then you must remove those bolts in order to install.

read the original post.. it was removing "TOW HOOKS" and im pretty sure the only way to get those bolts off is to cut them i used air tools and couldnt get them off.....

some one makes tow hooks for these trucks??? i did not know that and want a pair. where would i get a set?
