Hit up the dyno...
Well, we have an annual car show around here, and as I found out about a week ago, they have a traveling chassis dyno that they bring there...
My truck definitly drew a lot of attention, but no where near as much as the Mustang that followed me...
I wasn't far off my guess of 200rwhp and 250rwtq, as I came in at 197rwhp and 249rwtq...
I have a sheet that shows it, but I don't know how to use a scanner, but when I figure it out, I'll show you guys...
Oh, also, I got new mufflers put on today... they are louder than the Flow Delta 50s I had, and a TON quieter than the no mufflers I have had since Nov...
I figure, if I had the mufflers on yesterday, I would have probably been closer to 210rwhp and probably 260 - 270rwtq...
Oh well...

Not really. The biggest thing to look at when analyzing a dyno graph is to pay attention to the correction (if any), and the smoothing factor. If you dyno'd the vehicle and used a wideband, you can start with tuning the fuel and timing...assuming we all had a tuning tool...which we don't. But, if one was using a seperate fuel supply (nitrous kit, wet or dry) it would be nice to see a/f ratio accross the rpm range under load.
our computers are set up for the economy mode. when i dynoed my zex kit the computer did not start really dumping fuel until the higher rpm range. it was pretty consistant at 14.6 14.7 across the board until it started to dump the fuel. and by that time the rev limiter was kicking in. trucks have alot more to them then dodge gives credit. if we can get rid of some the the paramiters holding the engine back we could really see what they can do.

Well, see, thats the nice thing about my truck...
I have no limiter til I hit about 6k rpms...
I was hoping it'd be higher than the automatic 4wd Dakotas, and it was...
The 6spd really helped out, in my opinion...

6 speed rules...definitely puts more power to the ground.
Frenchy I'm jealous...I couldn't find a V8 6 speed when I was shopping for mine...and there was no way I'd settle for a slushomatic.

V-8 6 speeds are awfully rare....mine had to be ordered. My dealer had one in stock, but it didn't have the options I wanted, and had some options that I didn't want...my salesman searched 5 states for another one that was even similar to the options I wanted, but no luck.
There was no way I was settling for a slushbox either....
