Default 07 DAK 3.7l TRX4 Performance?

Understanding that I have bought a truck and that trucks are for towing, hauling and goodtimes in fields. However, looking for suggestions on performance parts "What little are available" to add on my truck for that bit of edge. Please save me from mindless hours of searching the web for parts. Not looking to go overborad but maybe intake, exhaust and whatever else may be suggested. Thanks!

first off, open up the glove box and see what type of axle gears you have. either the 3.55 ratio or the 3.92 ratio. the only thing that will help out the 6 banger would be gears. changing to the 4.10 set up would be most beneficial.for the amount of money you are gonna spend to help it get up and go it will cost the same to switch out the gears. about 1500.00, you figure the intake about 250.00 for a good one. exhaust 350.00-500.00 for a good one. jet chip 250.00, throttle body 180.00, the only thing that is cheap for these trucks is a 180 thermostat for 8.00 at your local parts store. being you have a quad cab, the gears will help out in mileage. most people complain they get 200 miles to a tank, about 10-12 miles to the gallon

Can't find any AEM or K&N intakes for 07 3.7l only airaid. Any ideas on the exhaust? So far I'm kind leaning to the Flowmaster 40 series. And concerning the intakes I have noticed that the 2006 and 2007 model numbers for the 4.7l intakes are the same do you know if the egine capartment space is the same between the 2006 and 2007 3.7l so that maybe I could use that? I called K&N but they suggested not to try. Havn't really looked under the hood of a 06 v6. Have any idea?

So I should be able to buy a K&N intake for a 2006 DAK 3.7 and put it in my 07 DAK 3.7? And vice versa with other products?

With the Flowmaster 40 Series, it's going to rumble at idle and low rpm's... but once you get into the "powerband" it starts to sound 4banger like....

One thing to check out for parts is looking a 2007 Jeep Liberty accessories, I've gotten confirmation in the past from alot of parts companies the parts work on both, but never seem to be listed for the Dakota.

Let us know if you need anything, I'm sure we can find it.
