How Much Is It Worth
you all know my truck, 2006 dakota night runner, quad cab, 4x4, 4.7L, power all, cruise control, cd player, leer fiberglass tonneau w/wired in to lock/unlock with doors, leveling kit, bedrug, tow package, powder coated steps, borla exhaust, tint, all the other goodies and then some more. its in damn good shape. just under 45k miles. new toyo open country a/t tires.
i looked it up via nada.com and got:
clean trade-in of 17,375
and
clean retail of 20,525
now....all works great, great condition, nothing wrong. and i mean it is VERY clean. with the market as it is, im not sure what i can get for it. what i paid for it doesnt matter, but when i bought it blue book was over 30, i want to say 32 and some change. what do you think i can sell it for in this market?

They are going to try and low ball you since the V8 sales are down because of gas prices. Chances are, you won't get anywhere near the 17 that nada says. I would say just go and find out....be prepared to laugh in the salesman's face though.
Not sure what you could get, depends on your area but I think with a truck like yours you'll do way better private sale than you would as a trade-in. If you don't mind my asking why do you want to sell it?
private selling is the way to go, but most people wont touch it unless you have the title. having the title in a private sell is a lot better than trying to get the other people to pay for it. ask 23000.00 and work your way to no more than 20000.00 the truck is worth every penny, most dealerships wont touch trucks with a lot of goodies, and if they do you wont make much if any money on them.
yeah, dealer trading isn't going to work for you...$14,000 is what I'd guess, maybe $15,000. If you want privately, you could get $20,000+, but it might be on the market for awhile until the right buyer comes along. Buddy of mine tried to sell his loaded and customized 2000 Dakota R/T and it sat for 6 months or more 'til he found a buyer who would pay what he asked.
I almost bought it...would've been a sweeeeeet truck...just needed some mods to get it in shape to tow, and only got like 10 mpgs with the 5.9.

1st off, id never trade in. dad owns a boat dealership, id never trade something in. as for why im selling it, well im just tossing the idea around. and yes, id hold onto it for the right buyer, i wouldnt sell it for less than 20, which means id have it prob 6 months and have to find some kid my age with daddys money. but i got my motorcycle a few months ago for a great price. i can turn around and sell it and easily make 2500 on it. i really enjoy riding it, but since ive been moved back down to school, i havent touched the bike. i love the **** out of it, but dont have time. and ive barely been drivin my truck. ive tossed around the idea of selling both my truck and bike (a month ago i got rid of my seadoo), and getting something like an 04-06 clean bmw 3series. and spending 16-21k...i have too many toys and id like to be able to do more with my hard earned $ then do nothing but make payments
