Smile Does anyone....

know anything about the stock option sub setup? I was interested on info about it, like can you still buy it (I havent called the dealer yet), or can you hook up an after market sub to the factory amp. Any info is good. I am looking at keeping the stock setup, I just was thinking about boosting the bass a tad. I am not looking at changing out the stock headunit yet.

Honestly bolt if you want something factory looking get the JL stealthbox, otherwise I'd just build one yourself. I measured before and I'm pretty sure you could build a box for a 10" downfiring sub inbetween the rear seats in a club cab. That was my original plan before I decided the rear seats needed to go.

I'm getting a 12" W7...good enough for me. I'm not a 10 fan.

I may have to look into this. I am with Travis on this one, ***** the itty bitty 10s, if I was gonna get anything it would be a 12" L7 or a 12" CompVR.

I guess this dreams on the wishlist for now unless someone knows more about the factory setup

Well you might be able to make a side-firing box for a 12 and fit it between the rear seats, would depend mainly on depth if you did that.

What's with all the hatred of 10's anyway?

10's are too punchy...12's give you that nice deep bass...I might even go 15...I WANT LOUD! AND IT NEEDS TO SOUND GOOD! I like Kicker Comp VR's. Had 3 in my eclipse. Sounded awesome.

Ah, I listen to some really fast stuff sometimes so punchy is good for that. Although I've heard a good quality 12 will give the punchiness and a nice deep sound. I don't want my bass sounding muddy on faster songs though.
