Default 2009+ Dakota with Diesel??

You have to forgive me, my buddy just got back from the states on R&R and he said that there is going to be a Dakota with a 4 cylinder diesel? He said something like it would be called a powerwagon? Is there any truth to this in the states?

Most of us have heard they may stop making the Daks...but a 4 cylinder diesel might bring it back. That could be pretty awesome...

Rumors I've heard is a smaller diesel available in the Ram 1500 for 2010 as well as a Ram hybrid in 2010 or maybe 2009. I've heard nothing about putting a diesel in the Dakota though (as a matter of fact I've heard nothing about a new Dakota or updates to it). If the US didn't have ridiculous emissions regulations on diesels we'd probably have them in available in almost every model, I envy Europe sometimes...

did a research awhile back. come the 2010 dakotas, granted if they aren't discontinued, dodge reported they'll be dropping the v6 cummins into the dakotas off of the ram 1500 platform. the rams are getting v6 and v8 cummins when i read up on this. hopefully what i read is true and dodge goes above and beyond, and drops the v8 into the dakotas. with mild tuning and modifications, a v8 cummins dakota will be near unstoppable IMO. like i said i did a lot of in depth research on this, i dont have my sources anymore. so we can only hope this is true

i dout it.... isnt nissan working with dodge and there isnt going to be a dak any more? Nissan builds the mid size truck and dodge builds the ram which eliminates the dakota and the titan.................

What I read was that they would keep the titan but it would prob be a ram in disguise

Exactly, I thought this was common knowledge.
