There has been plenty of discussion here (and other places) about the issue of aftermarket parts voiding any part of a factory warranty. Basically, the consensus seems to be that it is illegal for an auto manufacturer not to honor warranty repairs based solely on the installation of an aftermarket part. Unless your warranty has a specific provision stating that adding aftermarket parts will void the warranty, they have to prove somehow that said aftermarket part(s) led to a failure that wouldn't have taken place with the factory setup (that is loosely paraphrased).

That's not legal under Magnusson-Moss. They would have to prove the CAI is the cause of the issue to not cover it.
