Finally got my oil pressure and water temp. gauges installed. Kind of a pain but came out pretty good.

Not much. Had to take photos at an angle to keep glare off gauges. Sitting normally in drivers seat only restricts view a little bit on bottom of speedometer.

Nice, where did you get the housing and gauges? does the gauge light tint match the dash?

I would like to do a trans temp.

Ericemery, found out the Ram 02-05 steering column dual pod fits our Dakotas, wasn't sure about the pillar pods. Yes I still plan on a wide band A/F setup, hoping to get it on before Thankgiving. I think I can find a single gauge pillar pod for that.

LB, got the gauges and the pod from Jegs. The gauges are Auto Meter Ultra-Lite II and the pod is for the the Ram 02-05 but it fits our trucks perfectly. No the back lights do not match our stock gauges but they look pretty cool. You can see how the back light looks on Jegs site.

I know this is an old thread but I just took my truck to get the oil preasure gauge installed it is an autometer electrical gauge they told me they did not think it would work because it would turn my oil light on and may cause troubles down the road. Is there any truth to this? Did you have to do anything special with the sending unit?

I installed a separate sending unit from the factory one. There are two 1/2" NPT plugs on the oil filter housing, right above where the oil filter screws on. You want to use the upper one. You'll see when you look under there, it kind of tees off from where the factory sending unit is. You'll need an allen head to remove it. I put in a short 1/2" brass nipple then a brass coupling, then a brass 1/2" by 1/8" reducer bushing. Then screwed the sending unit into the bushing. I would have put the bushing directly into the filter housing but there wasn't enough room to screw it in. Hope that helps.
