SCT!

HEMIFEVER has already successfully tuned several BOOSTED 4.7L engines using SCT software...

Guys, this is real. For the first time EVER the 4.7L has EVERYTHING needed to make HEMI KILLING HP! Now we just need a couple of people to step up to the plate and help pave the way.

Also, the only way for us to continue bringing 4.7L specific parts is for people to start buying them! We have brought an entire buffet of parts to the 4.7L world, its time to start running with the big dogs! With the ARP STUD KITS your 4.7L could handle well over 20PSI... that would put you in the 700RWHP ball park!

Haha nice, that's a sales pitch right there. I would love to see a 4.7 built like that in action.

Thumbs up

Nick, keep up the good work, great to see you moving ahead on the 4.7, thank you for that. I agree though, we need to get some of this stuff to keep things moving. I'm working on an SCT tune right now and will be getting cams this spring. Maybe by then the intake will be nailed down a little better, which could determine which cams I go with.

IMO 20lbs of boost is just overkill for the average joe the plumber. I'd prefer the simplicity of choosing a KRC supercharger or any other supercharger designed to fit our trucks over piece parting a 4.6 engine onto ours. There's too many road blocks and extra $$$ you'd have to squeeze through. I'd say any of us are better off having some one custom build a turbo setup cheaper. Atleast, it could be designed safer to run off stock components and they'd have to flash your ECM anyways to keep fuel from leaning out.

well, i am game. superchips has been jerking me off about the calibration of my truck. going on two weeks now, a 400 tuner that is worthless. but the dog loves a new chew toy.

WOW 12 grand... OMG you must be building one heck of an engine.

You could easily run the stock M112 Eaton from a 2003-2004 cobra... I just bought a used one with EVERYTHING from the Lower intake manifold to the blower for $2500 bucks. Add spacers 575.00 = $3075.00, add Snout extension kit for 375.00 = 3450.00... And I guess you should just expect an additional 500 bucks for incidentals... So you could have a 8-10PSI kit on your engine for a ball park figure of 4,000 bucks or less... I'm sorry but that not a bad deal considering you would be pushing 400HP+ with 10PSI. And your stock bottom end could take that all day long.

Now if you wanted to run the Whipple charger, the ONLY "FORD" part needed would be the LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD & Intercooler ... and you cant see neither of them since they both sit under the blower. So NOBODY will know your running "FORD" parts unless you tell them.

My goal is to make these kits AFFORDABLE considering all variables... Lets be honest, they are not going to be cheap, but they are not out of the ball park when you consider what superchargers cost and consider this is a FIRST for the 4.7L engine.
