What aggressive tune do you have and who tuned it? Hope you get that mess straightened out dude.

I gotta say I agree with Hammer; and I think even though it's frustrating, they are doing right by you. If they had 50 or 500 people screaming that their Dakotas wouldn't start, they would have jumped alot faster.

I appreciate that you've got one of the most modified 3g Daks here, but growing pains are part of a poorly supported vehicle platform. It's good that you were persistent and stuck to your guns; and it sounds like it's fair to call it even in the end. Getting a free rental sounds pretty nice of them to me. I pay GEICO about $10 a month for that privilege, even if it's not my fault. Maybe it's a token of their appreciation for letting them remote-guinea-pig your truck.

Also sounds like their products aren't paperweights...or pieces of junk...but rather that they've been pretty patient and accommodating for a motor that they never really designed their programmers for.

Anyway, my $0.02 and I hope you get your truck back soon.

well, its done. my computer is gone along with my tuner. the engineer knows about the add on to my truck. he is going to try and get a hemi tune to work for me. if not then i will have a normal tune like everyone else. its just a matter of taking a program and rewritting it for my truck. i may even get rid of the cams and go with the h.o. i was hoping this tuner would let me use most of the cams power but i bit myself in the butt. should have just left the damn thing alone.

Good deal... I hope everything comes back in working order.

I do know that when I let BG tune my PCM he made sure NOBODY else could program it after he had it... Even after I sent it back to have him return it to stock because his performance program was WORTHLESS he sent it back with a stock tune and LOCKED PCM... so when I shipped it out to have it flashed by a BETTER tuner they where unable to do anything with it because BG had coded it so... BG was a nightmare from beginning to end... the only time it was smooth is when he was receiving my money... that lasted about a day... BG Chrysler was the biggest performance mistake I have ever made!

My point is who ever tuned it (FLASHED YOUR PCM) could have very well have locked others out of it... this means the SUPERCHIPS would not have been programed to deal with it and possibly could have been the root caused of the problem... The fact that they are working with you on it is TOP NOTCH and you should acknowledge that fact. Your like one of the first kids on the block with the most anticipated performance option the 4.7L has been waiting for since 2002... There will be issues, its important that Superchips works them out... in this case they are... and in this case the issue doesn't even appear to be THERE ISSUE... but they are making it right non the less...

SPEED SAFE, AIR RAM

You have 206 cams from KRC if I remember right. That would suck big time if you had to get rid of them because the programmer can't deal with them, I know they aren't cheap. I know you already have this deal with SC in motion but if it doesn't work out or if you change your mind let me know. I've been working with an SCT custom tuner. I gave him the numbers off my pcm and he just got the code for it from SCT so I'm all cleared to start tuning whenever I'm ready to order. I decided to get gears first and may want to get my wide band in place first so I probably won't order for a little while. You have an 05 4.7 same as me so it's very likely you have the exact same pcm I do. Good thing about a custom tune is that any future mods you do you can get another tune and I can tell you like mods. This guy has been doing 4.7 custom tunes for a while and he is very good. Just another option if you want.

wow dude, thats total crap. I read this whole post and read some of the rants on the SC website. It looks like alot of people are pissed off and the most they get back are generic replies like "we're working on it". I would send them the bill for whatever it is you have to pay too, and if they dont pay it, threaten a lawsuit or a high amount of their b.s. exposed an every car forum on the internet.
