Don't know if this will help you identify yours or not, but here is an excellent page on the differences between a standard 4.7 and the 4.7 H.O. Even though it's a Jeep specific site, any 4.7 owner should be able to get some good info from it.
Most components beside the air intake system are internal (cam, crankshaft, rods, pistons, etc.).
Also, of interest, you'll find the Mopar part #s and retail prices on the components necessary to turn a standard into the H.O.

The Magnum 4.7 is only rated at tops 30 hp below the HO, not a big difference in my opinion. As for the towing, right around 7100lb max is possible, but it all depends on trans, gearing, etc

Do you have the towing package? Mine does and even so, i also installed a tranny temp guage. Heat is your worst enemy in towing. I believe my max towing is 6850 for the Dak 4.7 magnum with the towing package. All that was included in the package was hitch, 4 and 7 pin hookups, tranny cooler, larger alt, and heavy duty springs in the back.

Yeah, I don't know what it is, but I've driven Grand Cherokees with the standard 4.7 and my Overland with the H.O., I've seen the specs, about 30 HP & 35 TQ, but I swear the "butt dyno" feels like it's at least double that...

If your gonna say not much difference, then you might as well buy the v-6.

V6s are just dogs jk

Also, with the HO, you have 8 more spark plugs and it is required/recommended you run 91 Octane vs. 87.
