Tires almost to wear bars.

Mine came with the BFG Rugged Trails AT and though they ride nice and are quiet the ware is terrible. I might squeak 35 to 37 k out of them. I’m going to the BFG AT TA KO. That tire is a little noisy but it’s a good trade off. I had the on my 95 DAK and they got close to 50k and never game any grief. I absolutely hate Goodyear. Unless you by their top of the line tires for a category every thing under top of the lie is crap. I had tread separations bead distortions that caused balance and air loss and sidewall cracking on every GY tire I ever owned.

Yeah tires are another one of those lies we put up with. I've never heard of anyone getting advertised milage out of the tires on any vehicle. Seems like LT tires don't even bother to give you a mileage figure anymore.
I'm riding the SRA's now and they are holding up, got 500 miles racked up so far on the 08. I swore by Bridgestone Duelers on the 97 but finding them in the 31x10.5x15 got tough. They lasted a fair amount and never got me stuck or had to worry in snow. I settled for Uniroyal Loredo's from Wallyworld this past year but had two sidewall punctures while driving along a farmers field from from bush stubble this past hunting season. Tread is decent but the sidewalls aren't very strong. Both brands mentioned will set you back around 600 max for 4 tires. Oh, these are Mud and Snow tires so they do sing a little on the blacktop, but I kind of like that sound. Honestly I feel like I'm on racing slicks with the SRA's in the snow. Just not enough lug for my taste.

They probablly wore so fast because the front end needed work and you were out of alignment. If the toe is out (or in) depending on how bad it is, its like dragging the tire sideways. Like if you drove 10 miles, it could equal dragging your tire sideways 1 mile, depending on how bad the toe was out/in.

When i had my leveling kit installed i didnt get an alignment until like 10-12k miles, and there was some negative camber because of it, it wore the inside of my tires fast. Once that was all taken care of i rotated them and there leveling out now.

Thats the thing with being out of alignment, its no huge deal if you dont notice it, until its time to buy tires a year early lol.

Other things that effect tire wear, besides just the alignment, are actually rotating them. (Don't really trust most shops to actually rotate them. With how messed up some shops are these days, its easier to charge you for it but not do the work. I guess mark the wheels some how so you can make sure they did it? Or do it yourself, really easy! I dunno, I just don't trust other mechanics for the most part.) Keeping them properly inflated and making sure you check the pressure.
Oh, and of course, burn outs can have a weird effect of wearing down those rear tires!
But mostly everything comes with crap rubbers from the factory. And, we all know what happens with crappy rubbers! (Mistakes, lol)

You are absolutely right, I do my own work all the time... unless its warranty work, hell my buddy doesnt do his own oil and the shop he took his car to, stripped out the oil pan drain plug, they did end up covering the repair costs of the dealership to replace the oil pan
