Exclamation Performance and suspension

I have a 2006 Dakota with the 4.7 v8 with a superchips tuner and flowmaster exhaust and in the near future a cold air intake. I know the cold air wont add all that much power so i was seeing if anyone had any suggestions to push some more horsepower out of this truck without loosing too much fuel economy and without doing a total motor overhaul. Also it has a stock suspension set up and it sits pretty level but i wanna add a few inches to it. any suggestions? i have been looking for lift kits but only find leveling kits. Thanks!!

well as far as the first question, you add headers to the CAI you are talking about getting and get a better flowing muffler (FMs sound awesome, but often flow even worse than stock) the CAI & Headers together will add more HP than the sum of the two by themselves. Plus, if you can stay off the pedal, will help mpg's as well.
But if you raise the truck, you'll give it all back. Lifting a truck kills mpg's faster than anything else...

I would suspect it has to do with internal design. I found a page before where they put a bunch of mufflers on a flow bench and the flowmaster did indeed flow quite poorly compared to most of the other brands. I was pleasantly surprised to see the flow rate on the Cherry Bomb Vortex I have was on the high side of the comparison, it did quite good. I think the highest flowing one they tried was a Dynomax.

Here's some cut-aways for comparison.

No lift kit available. 1.5" leveling, 2" rear axle blocks, 3" body lift would be the tallest 3g Dak you can get.

Advertising dude, all in advertising... But don't feel bad, I bought a Flowmaster 50HD when I bought my truck new because they just released the muffler and advertised: "Specifically designed for optimal performance for the new Dodge Hemi..." I've since seen independent tests and dyno numbers, it sounds real good, especially with my CAI & Long Tube Headers, but it flows like crap. At least I'm getting some back pressure out of it I guess.

I'm waiting for the first signs of rust so I can cut it out and weld in a CB Vortex as well..... Ain't owned a Cherry Bomb since I had a '73 Nova SS in the mid 80's. It was a Glasspack, but I've always loved the sound of a Cherry Bomb, any Cherry Bomb...

Autoanything.com should have the Trailmaster leveling kit, that's where I got mine.
