Wow that's BS. I was told by the guy who runs the shop that fixed mine there are two major insurance companies who always use new OEM parts in repairs, I forgot which ones but next time I am home I will try to drop by and ask him.

Recycled parts? lol that's horrible. I would never put used crap on my truck. I'm happy you got new parts. Used parts on a new truck should be illegal lol.

Are you serious?
I'd rather have my original Dak repaired and kept instead of get a new one. That's because your truck is worth saving...

hmmm this is phucked up...

In Pa there are state laws that require oem parts to be used if the vehicle qualifies. Plus I also made note under my insurance that I wanted OEM parts to be used regardless, which you can do and its legal. I am still dumbfounded on how her insurance and her can get away with saying they are using salvaged parts when you decline it. They have to put it back to the way it was before being hit. I mean salvaged body parts arent so bad, but the rim sheits off the wall. When my truck was rear ended a yr ago, everything I mean everything was replaced as it was right on down to the tail light covers and the hitch cover brake light, granted they couldnt get the identical style tail covers cause they were discontinued, but they asked if the newer ones were acceptable and I confirmed.... WOW what asshats! Dont give up man! Keep fighting!
