crazy idea but.....
Ok this might sound crazy but how close is the jeep liberty front part of the roof where is smooth to the front part of the dakota's smooth part of the roof would you guys think? I think the factory light bar that was put on the libertys looks pretty good and with a prerunner look on a dakota would look amazing. But by judging a picture from the same angle of both vehicles dakota looks like it might have a little more curve in the roof from side to side, but I still believe you could make one fit.

I have both trucks parked side by side in my garage, so I got off my cozy bar stool, set my coffee aside, and took a peek. I'll be damned, but I think it might just work. I'm here alone today, so I can't take an accurate measurement. My 08 Dak looks a bit wider, but looks like same roof pitch and curve. I have been searching for a way to do that since I seen the SEMA Dak pictured. This truck is the finest example of a Dakota I have ever seen.

Thank you for posting that picture! Wow! That Dakota looks nice. I found that it's from the 2004 & 2005 SEMA Auto Show. It's called the "Dakota Warrior H.O.".

There's another one from the 2007 show that is more MX related but still nice looking.

Sorry for the thread jack. Good call on the Liberty light bar. My friend has one so I may have to look into this as well.

It's really a shame that both of those trucks are a one-off with basically none of the parts used for the buildup available for sale. When I had my 05 I saw the pics of the orange Warrior and was like ohhhhhh!! Then found out that you couldn't get any of those parts even if you were the pope. Then the blue MX version came out (which is basically an 07 with an 08 nose bolted on) and, wouldn't ya' know it, no parts available from that one either. I've pretty much gotten used to the fact that the only way my TRX is going to get anything done to it is maaaaybe eventually throwing a 3" body lift under it with some 33s. I just saw the other day that Ebay has a 5" lift available, but when I went and looked it's just a 3" body lift with the 2" spacers for the front springs. Ugh

yeah, we are hosed for lifts I think...
but the good news is... with how cheap the trucks are now, A lot more are ending up on the road and not sitting on dealer lots. I still have hope, but its dwindling.

I have seen researched both warrior trucks and the way the light bar is on the orange warrior made me think of the light bar that came factory on the libertys. If I can find one in a salvage yard I will try it but I am not paying $400 for one just to try. I have good connections in finding wrecks so I should be able to find one. I jsut think a true prerunner look on one of these trucks would look great.
