Well that's why you don't know you didn't do it yourself like you were supposed to! Shame!
Can't remember for sure but I think mine took 6 quarts last change. I'll count the ones left in the case next time I go home, I put one quart in the rear door pocket in case I need to add some on the road so if there's 6 quarts left in the case the truck used 5.
My owners manual in this one AND my previous '06 called for six quarts for the 4.7L. I highly doubt that owners manuals differ. I understand that little tid-bit could be missed. I missed it the first time I changed my oil.
The only benefit I see is going a little longer between changes, as the larger filter will hold more crud. I change all my vehicles' oil at 3000 miles, regardless of the recommended interval.
On my '02 Dak I did 39 oil changes in 36 months. On my wife's Santa Fe, she racks up 3000 miles every six months!

ahh shiet guys, I had to check to make sure I was right, and I wasnt. Wrong vehicle, I am glad I write this sheit down It is 6 quarts, and I double checked the owners manual and they say 6 quarts. The Veeeee6 is a 5 quarter...
