Finally got the Leveling kit installed.. Pics inside.
Finally got some $$ to order the DayStar poly 2" kit and then actually found time to install last week. It's been on a week, no weirdness whatsoever so far, just an increase in the visual pleasure and driving pleasure. Ordered it from 4wheelparts.com for $97.49 w/ free shipping (25% off, weekend special).
The install took me about 3 1/2 hrs, about 30 mins of that was trying to get the lower shock bolt NUT loosened. Even with an IR 600 ft/lb wrench I thought it was going to snap before the nut loosened. It wasn't even rusted. I went nice and slowly so I wasn't going to chance messing anything up. Next up some Rancho shocks as it still has some of the cadillac ride (bouncy).
For your enjoyment (no before, we all know they look like a car in the front...)
All tucked away up in there..

Thanks! It stays in the garage when not driven, and I have a meguiars g110 buffer, a bunch of different waxes and I'm not afraid to use 'em I just got finished claying it this afternoon and plan to go over it with some Collinite 845 wax in a few days. When it does snow here I find ANY excuse to go out and play. Never had a 4x4 until a couple of years ago w got a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I was hooked on playing in the snow after that.
