I am pretty positive that all 2005+ have the round u-bolts in the rear. You can see them, just peek under there, they hold the axle to the leaf spring just behind each tire. When you remove your rear tires, you will see the nuts and the top of the ubolts staring you in the face. If you don't want to do it yourself, its 1 labor hour tops for then whole rear.

Default Which U-Bolts To Get?

They sell a steel block kit that I used on my dakota, it works great. They also come with the U-bolts you need which are about 10.5" long, you need ROUNDED end u-bolts, with a 3" inner diameter.

Those U-bolts will work if you have the 8.25 axle, if you have the 9.25 those u-bolts will not work.
I have the 9.25. What should I get for u-bolts?
I'm going to get a 2" lift block to go with my 2" front leveling kit, which is already installed.

I picked up these at Advance Auto this afternoon. I crawled under the truck to see if they fit. They seem rather tight to get around the axle. Maybe that's the way that they are supposed to be.

Is this correct or should I get something else?
If I need something else, I'd sure appreciate a link to it.

I paid less than $30 for the kit at Advance Auto. I'll take it to my shop on Thursday to see if it's correct.

UGH, please do not so this. Aluminum blocks are for lowering, not raising.
Aluminum blocks will compress over time and cause the u-bolts to come loose. I do not think I need to explain what will happen then.

You are gonna need 3-1/2" wide u-bolts for the 9-1/4" rear, and spend the money on cast iron blocks that are the same width of the leaf springs.

Not many local auto stores sell 2-1/4" wide u-bolts. Your best bet is to find a local company that can make you a beefy set.

I bit the bullet and had a local company make up correct size beefy u-bolts for a grand total of $30 bucks.

I then bought Tuff country cast iron 2" tapered lift blocks by 2-1/2" wide, for another $30 on eBay

A few tips:

It sounds like you don't have the 8.25 axle, but the larger 9.25.

As far as I know, advance auto sells cast iron blocks as well, not just aluminum.

Those blocks are fine, but the u-bolts and the hardware are junk. See the fine threads and the crummy nuts compared to the stock u-bolt on your truck already? The sheer strength is not so great.

Order from Stengel Brothers. Just google search them, they can ship you real u-bolts.

You can use teh length of the U-bolts you bought as a measurement, but not the width, because they clearly don't fit. You shouldnt have to hammer them on to the axle, they should fit easily.
