I used an Ebay Kit. These are cheaper and bullet proof in my opinion. Item number is 250403849551 No way to destroy a solid billet puck. They also come with the studs NOT INSTALLED which makes it way easier to install. The control arm just won't drop (or push down far enough) to get the strut installed if the studs are in place already. Just my $ .02

Though I liked the sounds of this idea at first, I have to wonder how the inside studs (closest to the motor) were installed withg the strut in place? That doesn't look like much fun either?

I agree though, that arm does not want to go down very easily!

I did do my own. I would not recommend the project to anyone not normally doing all their own maintenance. I would add that I did run into a problem with a lower strut bolt frozen solidly in place despite my best efforts and those of a local frame shop causing an install that was quite a bit more difficult than what most have run into. FWIW -Al

I do most of my own work and am always willing to learn something new. My neighbor is pretty handy when it comes to this stuff. Maybe I'll enlist his help. Do you have any hints or suggestions to make this easier?

Baracis, there is a how-to write up with great pictures on how to install this in the 3rd gen how to section. It will show you what you need to do.
