Auto transmission programmer?

Auto transmission programmer?
I'll be 53 this summer and I've only owned two automatics in my life. I really like my '06 Dakota but I find myself driving the transmission rather than the truck. What really bugs me is making a slow turn, then giving it a little gas and have it shift into overdrive at 30mph. I just don't like pressing the gas pedal and having the rpm's go down instead of up! I've tried driving it in tow mode but it's too severe (even when towing!). I understand that the 535rfe has it's own computer controller, called a TCM in the FSM. I did a little research and see that JetChips makes something called an "Accu-Speed" device. They mainly talk about speed correction for different tire sizes but also casually mention "corrected shift points" but don't provide any detail. Anyone have experience with the Accu-Speed or any other transmisssion controller?

If you're talking about revving in park or neutral I believe that's done to protect the engine. Take her out on a nice empty road and stomp on it, you'll see her go way past 4k

Coming from a Ford F150 with the 5.4 and the F250 Automatic 5 spd in it, this dakota shifts really really early and light. If i stepped on it in my old pickup you'd swear I nearly broke it loose on shifts.
I think i'll be getting one of those shift paks once my warranty is up... or before.
But yeah, is it just the programming? Cruising around town i have to REALLY stomp on it to go above 4k. Maybe i'm just not used to dodge tranny's?
