Yea, I know the hole wasn't factory. I might watch ebay and see if I can pick one up cheaper.

or you can get some styrofoam, and a palm sander and form your own. Or do what I did and make a plaster mold from an existing scoop... then its just a matter of Resin, fiberglass and gel coat...
I am planning on finishing mine up real soon... like maybe tuesday if its not a horrible day weather wise...

I'm not good with plaster and fiberglass. I have zero experience with it. Actually, do you have any pointers on how to get started? I could start with something easy until I get comfortable.

well... there are a lot of videos on youtube that show the basics. plaster is really easy. i pretty much picked up a kit at walmart and just read the directions.
i learned from a guy who made boats. he was also the guy who trained me when i started at mickey shorr when they were still a shop up here...
getting the basics from the videos will be a good starting point.
