Default $1000 Supercharger?!

With the Air Ram adapter kit (http://airram.com/product.php?catego...productid=1297) that allows us to put a 4.6L supercharger on our engines, would there be any way to make something like this work? I know it specifies 03-04, but those superchargers are way more than an STS turbo setup.

Hopefully it won't be too much longer. There is alot of excitement about the whipple/eaton project. I'm sure once Airram get back from the sandbox he will wrap up the project and get it out.

dont forget, everything airram is making is for the ram. and the only reason i say this is because of the hood clearance, make sure when you close the dakota hood, you have plenty of room, which the ram does.

If Nick can make that project fly, it'll open up a whole new world for us 4.7 guys. Guess we'll have to wait and see about clearance issues on the Dakotas.

Off topic I know but you guys (superdak05 and blown287) have 206 cams on your trucks. Did you guys look into the 212 cam before you got them or was it a tuning issue at the time? I know a high stall converter is recommended with the 212 and I just got my 2600 converter Friday, hopefully get it installed next week. I've already got an SCT. Thinking about which cam I should go with.

It's a bitch though because 4.7 cams are on back order because of comp cams restructuring issues.

as for the 212 cams, we did not have any tuning yet, now with the sct tuning, i believe it will be ok now, might need larger injectors with those cams, or throttle body

With the 212s you will need the lashcaps, beehive springs and definately need tuning. You already have SCT so you should be good to go. The install isn't too bad, I used the Haine's manual with mine.

LOL, for a Whipple, I would find a way to raise the hood. That is the good thing about the R/T hood/scoop combo, always room to cut a hole.

For the cam questions, this was posted on dakota-durango.
