Y'all are gonna hate me...

Just talking here, but I'm curious...what does it matter?
If I made a mod to my truck (or bike, or quad, or whatever else) and someone liked it and wanted to "copy" it, oh well. More power to them. It's not like they live in my town and I'd have to see a clone every week. In fact, I'm sure I'd never see it, ever. And if they posted pics of it on a forum of like vehicles? Well, that would bother me even less. I'd probably be flattered more than anything.
Hell, it's a big country and it's not like it makes your truck any less unique. I guess to each their own, but it all seems a bit petty to me.

as long as there are those willing to innovate, there will be those ready to duplicate.
joe, man, i hear you, and i like you, but i think your being a bit dramatic. its just a fact of life. i absolutely love your truck (yes i saw the pictures before you deleted them). i always have, you know that. but the above statement is true. and honestly if you dont want it to influence others, it really shouldnt be on the net. i think you have a great eye for design and an amazing imagination to dream up what you have but if you dont share it with us, i know i speak for many when i say we will be disappointed. i know i enjoy your talent, as i have watched it grow for a few years now. and i will miss it as well. its a sad thing not to share that.

It doesn't get more truthful than that. Copying someone's idea, other than copyright/patent info, should be a taken as a compliment. Not a smack across the face as you are taking it Joe. Think of it this way. "Imitated, NEVER duplicated".

Well heres the thing, most everyone here that's saying, "it's not a big deal," other than Drew, weren't on here when I decided to do this, and almost everyone but Eric, Rich, and Drew thought it would be a stupid idea, and that I'd be destroying my truck if I did it...
Now ppl want to copy?

Sir, you should be proud! It takes courage to be the first at doing something new. People will always follow. Today, I got a request from the dodgtalk ram guys asking me to post on their sight and tell them how I installed all of my performance upgrades.
