With the way I drive (ever been chased by the cops? It's kinda' like that. lol) and seeing the color of my oil on the dipstick after about 5 or 6K there's no way I'm even attempting 12,000, even with a mid-oil change filter swap.
Did the magic key trick and it worked great. No more ding ding.

Good to hear about the fix. And I, too, wouldn't approach running my oil to 12K. I run Syntec 5w/20 with a K&N Oil FIlter and change every 6,000. Out here in the desert, yet coastal perfect climate of San Diego and with our trips out to the actual desert (we have a place in Lost Lake on the Colorado River about an hour or so south of Lake Havesu), the heat wouldn't let me go 12K.
Thanks to all for the warm welcome! I was out fishing this weekend since its season opening time for walleye and pike...caught some nice ones! Took a few shots with my boat. Suprisingly enough, my truck was awesome on gas...I was running about 18mpg going up and 19mpg coming back! Here are the shots...in case your wondering, yes, it is snow that you see hehe! Here in Canada, you never know what to expect!
Enjoy!

Hmmm...I have an '08 and don't have that "Change Oil" indication. Weird. I do however have the extra "chime or ding" that happens about 5 seconds after the truck is started.
IF you happen to have that chime try this:
1. Turn the key to the "Run" position but don't start the truck.
2. Press the accelerator pedal down 3 times
3. Turn the key off.
4. Now start the truck to see if you get the chime/ding.

Thanks a lot guys! I sure as hell showed that Titan what my dodge can do hehe! He was doing like 14mpg hauling a boat same size as mine...plus, I smoke the crap out of him on the quarter mile hehe!
I guess it'll just be cheaper to SC my stock motor as soon as it's paid for. August 2010! Woohoo!

Nice truck, looks clean.
