Truck shocking me?
After shutting off the truck- Every time I get out of my truck I go to close the door and the metel will shock me, it's a buildup of an electro-static charge and this is everytime I get out and touch the door metel
Is there a reason for this? if so what are my options, It started doing this when the weather started to warm up. all winter it was fine

The reason is exactly what you said, static electricity buildup.
Since there really isn't a way to "get rid" of it, you can open the door but before actually getting out of your seat, touch a piece of metal (like the door pillar).

Scotch guard static guard works... Mine used to do it a couple years ago. (I lived on a dirt road at the time, if that matters) I used that static guard stuff and it took care of it.
It hasent done it since then... My dads silverado does it too.

My dad used to have this problem on one of his trucks. He ran a very small, light weight chain underneath bolted to the frame. When the truck was moving it wouldn't drag. But when he stopped it would touch the road. No more static problems after that.
And when I was on Okinawa I used to see a lot of the cars run a little metal wire strap attached to the car. It used an extremely light spring so that the strap would flip up in the wind while the car was moving but force it back down to touch the road when the car stopped.
