Where do you plan on putting the switch?

your fan in on when the truck key is on then? no switched accessory line for the relay?
I'll put the override switch in the cab sometime down the road. My fan turns on once the thermometer (stuck through the radiator, under the return hose) reads a certain temperature.

My fan is not directly wired to the battery. The (+) wire from the fan runs to my controller, the (+) from the controller runs to the battery via an in-line fuse. The (-) wire from the fan is ground on my battery.

Like I said wired directly You didnt steal power from an accessory wire, where once you turn the ignition switch off all power ceases.

Yea, you're right. I thought you guys were under the impression the power wire was ran directly to the battery with no fail-safe or anything. Yea, it actualy just kicks on whever the **** it wants to. On my way to work today it didn't even kick on until I was walking inside. I just laughed.

I had an 1987 Audi 5000CD that did that, fan would be on for 10-15min after turning off the car, people were always trying to tell me that the car was still running, I'd laugh and say no it's the fan, they were always puzzled.
Dam that car was fast

The only problem I see with that, is if you truck isnt warmed up you aren't going to have any AC till it gets to temperature and the themobulb tells the fan to kick on. Does the fan continue to run after the truck is off, or is it a 12V with the key in

Well yea, your compressor will kick on, but the heat exchange that happens in front of your radiator will not do any good if the vehicle is not moving and there is no air flow. Hey if you are happy....
