I cant find mine, and my fiance thinks she "may have tossed it out"...
I need to go back to clutch fan for the time being... the electric fan I have just cant keep up for some reason. I am sending it back for warranty... but I am going to go back to clutch... I would rather be reliable than gain a couple of tenths...

its an 18 inch Weisco electric fan rated at 2200CFM... I have one more idea to try tomorrow... then if thats not it, clutch fan or Flex-a-lite
I am getting a little frustrated, and I think I made a stupid move putting the stat in. (backwards like a moron.) I am switching it around in the morning to see if thats it.
I had to re-download the service manual, but I think I may have stuck it in backwards... I cant be sure till I pull it again... but I think I may have.

I know its frustrating, but we have all done things like this. Hopefully it will all work out. Like Cuban11182 said, spring towards the block and see if that is the gremlin.
We'ce concluded it is most likely that... truck idles with normal temp, under load it overheats... all from the mouth of the horse himself

yup
it was the stat...
Good news is... I have a new radiator (needed) new water pump (probably not needed) and 2 new 180 stats... lol
oh and 2 complete flushes and fills... UGH.
but all is good now. tuner reads it at around 180-190 under load... so I am happy...
So for future reference... I am an idiot.
