Default HUD Placement

Looking for suggestions. As you all know I'm using a split second controller that 1. gives real time engine data and 2. records datalogs.

I have changed inputs for the following.
Bank 1. Cam
Bank 2. Crank
Bank 3. Boost
Bank 4. Wideband A/F
Band 5. Speed

Through S-video I can monitor all five in real time and I'm going to do so with a 9" monitor. I'm trying to figure out where I want to put it. I'm thinking of making it into a heads up display, and placing it to the far left of the dash. If this works like I want it to I won't need my wideband or boost analog gauges.

Thanks guys.

Ooo interesting...by HUD you mean Heads Up Display right? Something along the lines of like what the new civics have for MPH? or actually projecting it onto your windshield? cause that would be sick lol....

I think far left would be good, close to you and that where most gauges are at anyway, at least you wont have to do anything but turn your eye instead of your whole head

Take pics!!....btw youve been here for thirty days right? I think im gonna nominate you for TOTM man!

btw add one album with at least one pic....just click photo gallery in the top navigation section in the black man!

Done, I think anyway, lol.

Yes, its going to be used like a HUD. Receiving inputs from sensors mentioned above and reading them digitally and a little more accuate than the analog gauges. For example, my boost gauge will show 11psi and my digital reading from the split second will show 11.3psi.

The cats out of the bag but I had to change the sensor inputs for the Split Second for my new tuning. I'm in the process of working with Hemifever on my new tunes at 14psi with 4.10 gears. There are Jeep guys running 16psi and my program will be really similiar to theirs.

My mods since last dyno.
Solid Tranny Mounts
Torque Dampers
Alcohol Injection
Cryo Chambers
Split Second Controller with HUD
4.10 Gears
14 psi Superchearger Drive Pulley
Richer SCT Tunes
16" M/T Drag Slicks

In the works
3000 stall torque converter
Tranny valve body
Banks Intercooler

It looks like I'm going to use a pulldown monitor and mount it by the rear view mirror.

That was my first thought. The wife has put three restrictions on my build.
1. Airbags stay in place.
2. No body drops.
3. The airconditioner must stay.

Thanks anyway bro.

LOL, she won't let me drop it because every once in a while I have to pull a trailers. The air is because the kids ride with me sometimes and the air bag is obvious. I think it would look cool in the steering wheel but hey, you can't have everything.
