Default Headers, cat back, Intake - where and what to buy

Ok, i'm looking for some power, but only by means of freeing up flow, so that I still get a benefit of MPG as well.
I've been considering Headers, cat back, or full exhaust (if it's available somewhere) and a ram air intake. I also have seen some stuff on HO cams/intakes, and even 2008 intakes.
What is too much a PITA, what is worth it?
What will I need a computer swap to run?
I mean, realistically, i'd love to do a full exhaust, the 2008 intake, cams, and a ram air intake. I figure that would net me over 300 hp crank, but who knows???

Everything you mention is available...not sure what ya mean by the 2008 intake? The only thing that would involve the computer would be the cams, but you can get custom tunes for them. As far as 300 hp at the crank just from the above mentioned is almost a stretch, not to burst your bubble.

I put a KN Intake on, and a Cherry Bomb Pro Exhaust on, cut the res. out, jumped to a 3 inch pipe and I noticed a nice gain on responsiveness and I am sure a good few handfuls of hp In the end I think it was worth it.

So, I guess...
Where would I get a full exhaust from?
and
Which is the best way to go for an intake?
I was going to build one, but i've been looking at the "box" addon that just uses the stock tube and puts a shield around a cone filter... the price is right.

My opinion about the exhaust, is to take it to a reputable exhaust/muffler shop local and have them put together a custom one. I had a custom cat back with 3" pipes and performance muffler put on with dual outlets tipped in chrome, and it ran me $430. Sounds great and a good increase in flow.

From what i'm reading, the headers look to be a PITA so I"ll probably just do the catback. Custom shop sounds good too... never woulda thought about it. I could use the place that did all the welding on my mustang, i kinda owe them. I kept bringint in pieces i tack welded with an arc welder for them to weld up nice, then i pieced it together myself. I'm cheap.

Is this worth it, or should i get the full system? it's $100 more for the whole system, but stock looks pretty smooth to me. I guess, has anyone done a test of this?

ALSO, does HO cams = tuner?

H.O. cams = no tune
206 cams = require lash caps, tune not required but recommended.
212 cams = beehive springs, lash caps and tunes are required.

There are even 218 cams and for those of us with boost, "turbo and blower cams." Their grind is 224.

To date I have helped in stall three HO cams four 206 cams and one 212 cam. The only one that had problems was the 212, because we didn't realize it required the beehives.
