Default I do believe that Superchips now supports the 2008+ 4.7L Dakota's.

From Scott@SC:

The 08 4.7L update is now online to download for those who have been waiting.

I have also been told that after the HEMI advanced trans options are released to 3865 and 3950 owners that the Dodge team will be working on getting that option to the 4.7L owners who own 3865 and 3950 programmers next.

I will be sure to post dates for release as I receive the data.

Scott
At least that's the way I interpret it after asking him if they were close on releasing for the 2008+ 4.7L Dakota.

I've decided to purchase one (after vacation) and do a dyno comparison of the two (Hypertech and Superchips).

I'll be watching this to see what comes of it. A chip would be nice right about now to round off the other upgrades.

Default Wow

This is great news. I have been waiting for Superchips to build something the 2008 4.7 Dakota. I had their unit on my 2004 Hemi Rumble Bee - BEST UPGRADE EVER. Especially the firmer shifting. (Wish I hadn't traded it in to Hypertech for the 52001 - which is a big disappointment because the don't firm up shifting). I've checked the Superchips web site and didn't see it list. I'll order as soon as I see it or here how to order.

Finally more effort towards aftermarket support for our trucks, now we just need some more from other companies. Kinda glad SC is stood up to the plate for us again, maybe others will see that we are a good customer base to invest in?

*sigh* Just found out from Scott@SC that it was a false alarm. The update was only for the '08 4.7L Ram's. They are still working on the ones for the Dakota's.

That is a good sign as they use the same 4.7L engine. Shood only be a matter of time.
