Default Side Step install question

For you guys that have them, do they just bolt on underneath the bottom body mount and compress the rubber of the block there? The bolt normally is right in the middle of the block, but with the brackets they would be compressing the rubber around the outside of the block. I got a set of DeeZee steps and was looking under there. My bolts aren't long enough with the body lift, have to get longer ones if that is the way it installs. Thanks!!

Yes, my side rails attach to the body mounts. Remember when reattaching them, the bolts need to be tightened back to spec, which is 60 ft. lbs.

Thanks, Ghost. I will have to order the new bolts tomorrow. I have to get 180-190mm bolts now. I think the thread is 12mmx1.75, is this correct?

when your done installing them, if you find they sit too low with the body kit, i have seen alot of guys drill new holes in the sides of the brackets, so they can raise the step bar higher, snug to the body. I heard it will also hide the frame perfectly this way.
