Default Superchips 3865

I got tired of my sluggish truck so I ordered the SC 3865. It should be at my house tomorrow. I'm pretty darn excited about getting it.

Question - I've read on hear that it won't shift to 2nd until 3K. Will I be able to adjust it to a lower RPM shift point (like 2k)? 3k seems really high in first gear if you are just riding around town.

Thanks for any input.

Well I received my SC tuner yesterday. I'm running the perfomance tune and 93 octane gas. The truck has finally woke up. It shifts gears so much better and throttle response is really good. The way it should have been all along.

I do have a question for all that have a tuner. What 0-60 times are you getting? I was a little concerned this morning, my time was 11.42 on a flat road. I was expecting around 9 sec. I've got the tuner settings all on max. Is there something I'm missing on the tune set up? My time from 0-50 was 8.41 so it took 3 more seconds to go another 10mpg to hit 60mpg.

I'm happy with mine except for that 1-2 shift at 3k. Even on the mileage tune it's there. Always figured low shift points would help mileage, but maybe superchips knows something I don't.

I ran my SC Cortex on the 91 octane tune and it was the best tune on my truck all the way around. Before the blower I tried the mileage tune and it really didn't do anything.

I got around 10.6 but it's nearly impossible to get a decent launch with an open diff far too easy to spin the wheel, plus I have the 3.55 gears. If you're the same setup as far as rear diff and gearing that's probably about right, once I get some better gears and an LSD in there I expect to pull better times.
