Lightbulb Window Tinting Opions Plz

So I'm going to tint my truck, and there are two places that are options. The $150 is a car audio shop run by young guys. The other is $200 and seems to be more respectable, and they said theres a lifetime warranty. I'm also wondering what percentage to get. I dont want to be to illegal, but I was thinking 30% for the driver/passanger windows and for the back driver/passanger and rear window 15%. I wanna get that blacked out look, where you can barely see inside. Opinions Please!

I just got my front doors done. Called around and found some different prices, the tinters in my area are hurting for work, all going out of their way to get me in at a good price. the last guy I called gave me a sweet deal and even came to my house to do the job. Just ask them how many years experience they have if you're worried about the work. The guy that did mine had 13 years.

Just do it yourself!!

I have never paid for window tinting. I learned how to do it and since then i have done it myself! I did front and back on my truck with 2 boxes of 20% tint and it looks awesome!! No problems where i live for the inspection because the minimun is 20%.

The images of peeling, discolored tints fraying at the edges are hard to forget. May be they are different now.

The 30% sounds good for the front and 15% sounds good for the back. Just make sure you don't get the front too dark cuz one, you don't want it to be illegal and two, you want the people who are checking out your truck to see who is driving the sweet ride!

I dunno what the legal limits are for the front and back windows. I don't think the back ones matter tho.

As for what place to go, I'd go with the place that is more respected and has the lifetime warranty. It may be $50 more but it's worth it IMO.

Make sure they use a good quality film like 3M or Llumar, and a lifetime guarantee is standard with a good quality shop.

I would check around and make sure you are getting the best deal for the $. I payed $50.00 a window when I got mine tinted. Good luck.

I would agree with Eric on this one. Usually when you go to a tint shop there will be cars in the parking lot that they have done that you can look at to check the quality...
