Default Bed divider

One of the first things I need for my 08 is a bed divider. I had one in my previous Dak but it was kinda cheap. I had to twist it in and out. Problem is I haven't seen anything better. The bedliner seems to have notches for a 2x4 but that is hardly a divider. Any ideas, home made or not?

Not sure about the 3rd dakotas, but i know my dad's 05 ram has slots for 2x8's so that you can fit a piece of plywood flat over the wheel humps and mine has slots for 2x6's i believe.

If yours only holds a 2x4, Maybe screw a piece of plywood or a bigger board to it with legs to hold it upright?

I am not that much concerned about carrying sheets. Something I can hold grocery bags and small items in place.

Would still serve the purpose though, wouldn't it?

Have you thought about a truck bed extender? Flips out to extend the bed, flips in to act as a small storage area.

I dunno man. I have a cargo net I use to hold stuff to the tailgate and it works great.

Bed extenders look great but don't they get in the way of loading and unloading. You have to lift over it. Can't slide things in. Cargo net could work but where do you anchor it?

I'm sure you can remove it for something like that if you really need to.
