Update, just baked the old stock headlight for practice, and found out that silver edge on our headlights cannot be accessed. To paint it I have to paint over the outside lens, like Blown did. So I am just going to have to sand it and paint the outside after taping it off, I didn't want to do that because headlights get hit with a lot of bugs. However, it gives me the opportunity to make a design if I so choose, Dodge Charger angry eyes?

 

You can't go wrong with that statement! If you want to paint the outside just let me know. We might even be able to do it tomorrow.

As you can see that outer silver edge is its own piece of plastic that cannot be separated.

 

Can it be sanded down??

 

Yes that's what I ended up doing instead of melting it down I just sanded the edges and painted the top of the lenses.

 

Holy crap, glad I painted the outside.
