If your truck is paid off, why take on another note if you don't NEED the extra power. But then again you don't live forever and you can't take your money when you pass away...

Now if you need the extra power to tow, then go for it.

If it's not a hemi, I'd pass bro. I had an '02 quad cab with the 4.7. Interstate MPG was pretty damn good, but it was way to weak for me. In town mileage was HORRIBLE. I was spending more on gas than I was on my $300 payment. Granted, you can beef it up and what not...but if you're gonna do it, get a HEMI. They come with almost 400 HP now, as I'm sure you know and with the MDS on it, ****...no way I'd take another 4.7 Ram.

Special order or not, its a tad steep at 36k. I say maybe go for it if he can get the numbers much lower like 30k or less. Let em sit on it for awhile and chew on the interest, after a bit they will be more flexible. Then again, no payments on a truck that is becoming more and more how ya want it, has rather low miles, 20s etc is the way I would stay

Pretty sure Eric means HIS truck isn't a Hemi, nor does it ride like the ram...

My bad man. Get him to lower the price and jump on it. I'd trade mine in right now for a HEMI if I wouldn't be upside down. Plus the new Rams look badass!!

I can't wait until my truck is paid for. And not so I can go jump in on another money pit! I'm going to drive this beast until the cost to keep it on the road outweighs a payment.

Plus, that's not my style of truck. QC, painted bumpers...chrome 20's...fog lights...meh. I like my ST(ripper) truck. Just give me A/C.

I could do alot with $400 a month, and I hope the ol' girl runs trouble free for a few years after I own it!

I am with 'bolt on this one (damn, scary thought), $36k is steep. I know the '09s are totally redesigned and offer a smoother ride, a little more power, yada, yada, yada then the 3rd Gens, but hell, they were offering new '08s, QCSB 4x4 Hemi's with Laramie or ThunderRoad for around $22k when the '09s were starting to hit the lots. I mean hell, I almost pulled the trigger on a new '09 Dodge 2500 CTD 4x4 this spring they discounted from $46k to $35k. Just couldn't get nowhere near right on what they offered for my truck with $8k in mods in it. They trying to say an '09 1500 gasser is worth more than a 2500 CTD? I don't think so...
I don't see the '09 being worth $14k more than a comparable new '08 was eight to ten months ago.
Get them down under $30k and now you're talkin...
