Still haven’t decided which CB I’m getting, once I figure that out I’ll post pics of it all installed

I think with the antenna on it would drive me crazy out their in my line of vision.
Maybe on passenger side closer to the windshield like a normal antenna?

I need to see pics of the whole thing said and done. i have been wanting to do this for some time now!

oh and what made you choose that location (other than the placement of the battery in the engine compartment)?

I actually got 2 braces,
I'm still not sure if that's the final resting place for that bracket,
for the driver side I might move it back to the bolt holding the base plate the fuse box sits on, assuming it will clear the hood still, (it should) if not I can always drill a hole right where I want it to mount closer to the windshield.

but on the passanger side I don't really want to go any closer to the FM antenna as they will make contact in the wind.
(ting ting) this was an issue with my friend truck. he had to move it forward And get a shorter antenna. to keep the two apart.

we'll see how it goes when I get the antenna's
