yea. ground clearance and meaty tires with a locker and some momentum and you wont have problems. i have a 2x with not winch or lockers but some nice bfg and a v8 and ive never had problems...even in deep mud. they say a winch is better than having 4x...provided you have something solid to hook to.

i have a base model ST 2006 manual windows and everything. keep it clean on the inside. id say it looks pretty damn nice. i wouldnt step down to a 2005-06 4x. our 2wd dakotas have more travel and potential in the front end.

Who cares what people wonder. 99% of people won't even notice. Locker puts equal power to both rear wheels 100% of the time.

True story, look at the Dak of The Month, someone didnt know Frenchy's truck was a 4x4 until it was brought up.

Exactly! That's why debadging is fun. Espically on trucks like ours, where the 4x2 and 4x4 ride height are almost identical.

look up the trophy trucks that run the baja and let me know how many 2x you will see......ALOT

its all about power, the footprint (tire size, width, and momentum)
